Sauna heater protective sheaths

About our Sauna heater protective sheaths

Protect your sauna walls, benches and users with these sauna heater protective sheaths. Designed to encase your sauna stove, they will safely shield everything from the intense heat of the hot sauna stove.

Primarily manufactured from steel, a sauna heater safety shield is designed to encase the heater in metal to protect anything and anyone in the surrounding area. Whilst they do not absorb all the heat from the sauna stove, they do prevent it from radiating in the immediate surrounding area.

As a result sauna heater protective shields are often employed as aids to further the longevity of the sauna room. Sauna heater protective sheaths are steel accessories designed to provide an extra layer of protection for sauna heaters.

They are typically made of heat-resistant materials and are installed as a guard around the body of the sauna heater. The main purpose of a protective sheath is to prevent direct contact between the sauna stove and other sauna materials.

Types of sauna heater protective sheaths

  • Stainless steel: A popular choice due to its excellent heat resistance and durability, it can handle the high temperatures in the sauna without warping or deforming.
  • Aluminium: Occasionally used for safety shields, it offers good heat resistance and is lightweight, making installation and maintenance easier.
  • Cast iron: Some protective sheaths are made of cast iron, known for its exceptional heat retention and durability. Cast iron sheaths are well-suited for wood-burning sauna heaters.
  • Ceramic: In some cases, ceramic materials may be used for protective sheaths. Ceramics are known for their high heat tolerance and can provide effective insulation for the heating elements.
  • Plastic: Certain high-performance plastics designed to withstand extreme temperatures can also be used for protective sheaths. These plastics offer lightweight and corrosion-resistant properties.
