Ancient Roman wellness with modern design expertise
Like so many of our wellness rooms the Tylarium dates back to Roman times, and uses a combination of steam room and sauna. At 45-65°C temperature and 40-65% humidity, a Tylarium is milder and much less intense than a traditional sauna. Because of this, the Tylarium is often referred to as a ‘soft sauna’.
Similarly to a traditional sauna, a bespoke Tylarium can be installed in just a few square metres of space. As a result, its ideal for both home owners and commercial spas. Notably, a custom soft sauna can deliver an environment of steam or dry heat. Furthermore, aromatic scents can be used to enliven the experience.

With every Tylarium soft sauna installation we typically provide a Tylo Combi sauna heater which has in-built steam tank. The heater also boasts the ability to manage the humidity of the room. What’s more, you’ll be able to simply switch to a traditional sauna experience with the flick of a switch. This makes it a popular choice for many couples and families who often have differing sauna bathing and steam preferences.
