If you’re designing a bespoke wellness project such as a sauna, steam room or steam shower in most cases you’re going to need custom cut glass to finish things off. Generally this will be frameless glass panels or doors. At Leisurequip we provide a comprehensive service for bespoke glass cut to your specifications and if needed fitted by our experts.
The range of custom glass we provide is enough to complete most projects. All the glass we provide is tempered safety glass. This means it is toughened and shatters into tiny fragments if broken. The bespoke glass we supply can be bronze tinted, clear or frosted. It is also available in a range of thicknesses and can have holes cut where needed.

Why do I need to use tempered safety glass?
It’s important to understand the benefits of tempered safety glass. Whether for domestic or commercial environments, any large sheet of glass that is moved often is susceptible to breakage. Untreated glass when broken would result in huge shards of incredibly sharp glass falling in an unpredictable way. This is referred to as ‘spall’.
Tempered safety glass when broken shatters into thousands of tiny pieces. You may have seen this with a car window breaking. As a result we only provide custom cut glass that is tempered as it is the best way to spa users safe.
Are you able to cut holes in tempered glass?
Before your glass is tempered by heat treating it is possible to cut bespoke holes and shapes into it. You may need this for your sauna or steam room door. Once the glass has been heat treated it is not possible to make any changes to the size or cut any additional holes.
